Yesterday evening and today I have heard the sound of jets flying close around downtown Chicago.

Our view is only a couple directions, West and overlooking Navy Pier, and I have not seen them, but the sound is unmistakable.

The Chicago Air and Water show is coming! Personally I believe this is the best event of the summer, the Taste of Chicago or the recent Tall Ships is nothing compared to this. You can’t miss.

In the past I know the Sun Times has published a decent guide to the show on the Friday before, if you’re not a regular Sun Times subscriber and want to get a schedule of the show it may behoove you to pick up a copy tomorrow.
